Extracts from the Album A Hard Day’s Night
Extracts from the Album A Hard Day’s Night is the Beatles seventh EP released in the UK. Indeed, it follows their other EPs in that it contains four songs on one 7-inch extended play record. Of course, it does what it says on the tin. That is, it contains songs from the 1964 album “A Hard Day’s Night”.
They released this EP just two days after another called “Extracts from the Film A Hard Day’s Night.” However, while the film and album have the same title, this EP contains songs that were not featured in the film. We will list those songs soon, but first we shall take a look at the fine details.

These songs represented the “non-soundtrack” part of the album. So, will the public want them?
Extracts from the Album A Hard Day’s Night: Chart Success
While this is the second of a two-part release, it is a poor relation when it comes to chart success. While its sibling topped the charts, this EP only managed to get to position 8.
Moreover, the other EP spent 30 weeks on the charts, while this one lasted a mere 17 weeks. What conclusion should we draw here?
Of course, these are Beatles songs, and they are all decent. So, why did the EP not perform in the charts better? Let us know your thoughts about this EP in the comments below.
