All My Loving EP: Introduction

All My Loving EP: The Songs
A1: All My Loving
A2: Ask Me Why
B1: Money (That’s What I Want)
B2: P.S. I Love You
The EP is a collection of four iconic songs, capturing the essence of their early sound and showcasing the band’s prowess. But what makes this EP so special, even after all these years?
The EP opens with the title track, “All My Loving,” a vibrant blast of pop perfection. John Lennon’s infectious energy and Paul McCartney’s soaring melody create a catchy tune that instantly grabs your attention. This was followed by “Ask Me Why,” which showcases the band’s raw talent and energy.
The first track on side 2 is “Money (That’s What I Want)”. This song is an early rhythm and blues song, previously recorded by Barrett Strong in 1959. However, The Beatles gave it a bit more oomph. Meanwhile, the second song on side two is “P.S. I Love You,” which slowed things down somewhat.
Apart from Money (That’s What I Want), written by Janie Bradford and Berry Gordy, the other three tracks are by Lennon-McCartney.

Furthermore, the Fab Four’s Long Tall Sally EP eventually replaced it. All in all, the EP charted for 44 weeks.
