Nowhere Man (EP)
In July of 1966, Nowhere Man (EP) became The Beatles 12th UK release in this format. While single records had a song on either side of the disc, EPs differed in that they had two songs per side.
This record was no different, but all of the tracks came from their Rubber Soul album. Of course, the album had been in circulation for six months by the time of this EP release.
Would the EP sell in high numbers? After all, they were readily available to begin with. Well, judging by their previous 11 EPs, this looks destined to top the charts as well, or so you’d think. Indeed, you just couldn’t get enough of the Fab Four in those days!
We list the songs on the record below after providing a lot more information about the disc.

Nowhere Man (EP): Chart Success
Although previous Beatles EPs topped the charts, alas, this one didn’t. In fact, it only reached number 4 in the UK charts. However, it did spend 18 weeks in the hit parade.
That would be acceptable to any modern-day artist. It’s even more astonishing to think that all the songs were on the Rubber Soul album that did top the charts for nine weeks!
Of course, these EPs filled a gap between albums. Not only that, but they were affordable to those who couldn’t buy the album.

The Beatles took advantage of all recording media, of course. So, using an EP to get their music out came naturally to them.
