Mark E. Smith, founder and frontman of The Fall, has passed away at the age of 60.
Formed in Manchester in 1976, the band became known for its sharp lyrics, distinctive style, and ever-changing line-ups — with Smith remaining the group’s constant creative force.

Over four decades, The Fall released dozens of albums and influenced countless artists in the post-punk and alternative scenes.
