I think that’s about right.
The EEC was a good idea as a trading partnership, but turning it into a political union was always going to be difficult.

Whether you supported Leave or Remain, we had a referendum and the majority voted to leave the EU.
Some people have since called for another vote, but I think the result should stand — otherwise it goes against the democratic process.

I agree that once the decision was made, it should be respected — otherwise it undermines democracy.

I voted to leave and would do the same again if there were another referendum.
Many people feel strongly that the EU has handled the process poorly, which only strengthened their views.
