Post by Brummie »

Pete Shelley (1955 – 2018)

Pete Shelley, lead singer and co-founder of Buzzcocks, passed away in 2018 at the age of 63.
A pioneer of British punk, he was best known for writing and performing Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve), a defining song of the late 1970s music scene.

Shelley’s energetic style and thoughtful lyrics helped shape the sound of modern alternative rock.

Very sad news.
I’ll read more about it when I can — such a loss to music.
RIP.

Good choice of song.
Ever Fallen in Love was the obvious pick, but that video is brilliant as well.
I still have two of their albums — timeless music.
RIP.
