John Lennon's Killer Refused Parole Again

Post by Julia »

Mark David Chapman, the man convicted of killing John Lennon in 1980, has once again been refused parole.
Authorities have confirmed that Chapman must remain in prison for at least another two years before his next hearing.
This was his tenth parole review, held in New York.

Chapman, now in his sixties, shot Lennon outside his Manhattan apartment.
Reports suggest he continues to express remorse for his actions, and his wife has supported him throughout his imprisonment.

I really thought this man would never be released.
It’s difficult to imagine the person responsible for John Lennon’s death ever living freely again.

I honestly thought he’d received a different sentence.

I don’t think the United States uses hanging as a punishment anymore. 😇

It’s hard to believe that someone convicted of killing John Lennon might ever be considered for parole.

I thought the death penalty still applied in some parts of the United States. It’s a complicated system over there.
