A Beginning: Introduction
“A Beginning” is an instrumental from 1968 that is on The Beatles’ 1996 album, “Anthology 3.” However, the Fab Four played no part in it, as it’s a George Martin composition from start to finish. Be that as it may, it is a part of the Beatles’ album. With this in mind, we must review it!

Where To Find “A Beginning”:
At the moment, you can buy this track on the following album:
A Beginning: Background
George Martin intended “A Beginning” to be the introduction of Ringo Starr’s first solo composition, “Don’t Pass Me By”. Of course, this was while they were working on the “White Album“. Using the same orchestra as that on the song “Good Night,” the Beatles had very little input, if any at all, and they didn’t use it on their songs.
However, the piece became an incidental cue for the “Eleanor Rigby” song in the Yellow Submarine film. Moreover, the piece didn’t become available on record until the “Anthology 3” album release in 1996.
In the first place, side 2 of the first “Yellow Submarine album” has no songs, just orchestral pieces by George Martin. However, the “Yellow Submarine Songtrack” album only has the songs from the film of the same name.
So, before you buy one of those albums, be sure to check both out before you go spend your cash. Beatlemaniacs will buy both, of course.
When the remaining Beatles recorded two “new” songs, “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” in the mid-1990s, they intended to release a third called “Now and Then.” But George Harrison wasn’t happy with the way it was going; therefore, that single never materialised.
The intended single “Now and Then” would have been on the “Anthology 3” album, so they had to juggle things around. Instead, they used “A Beginning” as the first track on that album.
